Genesi 11
Martini 1781
11E visse Sem, dopo aver generato Arphaxad, cinquecento anni: e generò figliuoli e figliuole.
12Arphaxad poi visse trentacinque anni, e generò Sale.
13E visse Arphaxad, dopo aver generato Sale, trecento tre anni: e generò figliuoli e figliuole.
14Sale poi visse trent'anni, e generò Heber.
15E visse Sale, dopo aver generato Heber, trecento tre anni: e generò figliuoli e figliuole.
16E visse Heber trenta quattro anni, e generò Phaleg.
17E visse Heber, dopo aver generato Phaleg, quattrocento trent'anni, e generò figliuoli e figliuole.
18E visse Phaleg trent'anni, e generò Reu.
19E visse Phaleg, dopo aver generato Reu, dugento nove anni: e generò figliuoli e figliuole.
20E visse Reu trentadue anni, e generò Sarug.
21E visse Reu, dopo aver generato Sarug, dugento sette anni: e generò figliuoli e figliuole.
22E visse Sarug trent'anni, e generò Nachor.
23E visse Sarug, dopo aver generato Nachor, dugento anni: e generò figliuoli e figliuole.
24E visse Nachor ventinove anni, e generò Thare.
25E visse Nachor, dopo aver generato Thare, cento diciannove anni: e generò figliuoli e figliuole.
26E visse Thare settant'anni, e generò Abram, e Nachor, e Aran.
32E visse Thare dugento cinque anni, e morì in Haran.

Informazioni su questa edizione1And the earth was of one tongue, and of the same speech.
2And when they removed from the east, they found a plain in the land of Sennaar, and dwelt in it.
3And each one said to his neighbour: Come, let us make brick, and bake them with fire. And they had brick instead of stones, and slime instead of mortar.
4And they said: Come, let us make a city and a tower, the top whereof may reach to heaven: and let us make our name famous before we be scattered abroad into all lands.
5And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of Adam were building.
6And he said: Behold, it is one people, and all have one tongue: and they have begun to do this, neither will they leave off from their designs, till they accomplish them in deed.
7Come ye, therefore, let us go down, and there confound their tongue, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
8And so the Lord scattered them from that place into all lands, and they ceased to build the city.
9And therefore the name thereof was called Babel, because there the language of the whole earth was confounded: and from thence the Lord scattered them abroad upon the face of all countries.
