Giosuè 12

1Questi sono i re che furono sconfitti da' figliuoli d'Israele i quali preser possesso del loro paese di là dal Giordano a levante, dal torrente di Arnon fino al monte Hermon, e a tutta la parte orientale, che guarda verso il deserto.

2Sehon re degli Amorrhei, il quale abitò in Hesebon, ebbe signoria da Aroer che è posta sulla ripa del torrente Arnon, e dalla metà della valle, e dalla metà di Galaad sino al torrente Jaboc, che è il confine de' figliuoli di Ammon.

3E dalla solitudine fino al mare Ceneroth verso levante, e sino al mare del deserto, che è il mare salso verso oriente lungo la strada che mena a Bethsimoth; e da mezzodì dal di sotto di Asedoth, a Phasga.

4I confini del regno di Og re di Basan (rampollo de' Rafaimi, il quale abitava in Astaroth, e in Edrai) erano dal monte Hermon, e da Saleca con tutto il territorio di Basan sino ai confini.

5Di Gessuri, e di Machati, e della metà del Galaad: e sino a' confini di Sehon re di Hesebon.

6Mosè servo del Signore, e i figliuoli d'Israele sconfisser quel re, e Mosè diede il dominio del loro paese ai Rubeniti, e a' Gaditi, e a mezza la tribù di Manasse.

7Questi sono i re del paese sconfitti da Giosuè, e da' figliuoli d'Israele di là dal Giordano dalla parte d'occidente, da Baalgad nella campagna del Libano sino alla montagna di cui una parte sale verso Seir: e Giosuè ne diede il possesso alle tribù d'Israele; a ognuna la sua porzione,

8Tanto nella montagna, come ne' piani e nelle campagne. In Asedoth, e nel deserto, e a mezzodì vi erano gli Hethei, e gli Amorrhei, i Chananei, e i Pherezei, gli Hevei, e li Jebusei.

9Un re di Gerico: un re di Hai, la quale sta accanto a Bethel,

10Un re di Gerusalemme, un re di Hebron.

11Un re di Jerimoth , un re di Lachis,

12Un re di Eglon , un re di Gazer,

13Un re di Dabir, un re di Gader,

14Un re di Herma, un re di Hered,

15Un re di Lebna, un re di Odullam,

16Un re di Maceda, un re di Bethel,

17Un re di Taphua, un re di Opher,

18Un re di Aphec, un re di Saron,

19Un re di Madon, un re di Asor,

20Un re di Semeron, un re di Achsaph,

21Un re di Thenac, un re di Mageddo,

22Un re di Cades, un re di Jachanan del Carmelo,

23Un re di Dor, e uno della provincia di Dor, e un re delle nazioni di Galgal,

24Un re di Thersa: in tutto trentun re.

1Hi sunt reges, quos percusserunt filii Israël, et possederunt terram eorum trans Jordanem ad solis ortum, a torrente Arnon usque ad montem Hermon, et omnem orientalem plagam, quæ respicit solitudinem.

2Sehon rex Amorrhæorum, qui habitavit in Hesebon, dominatus est ab Aroër, quæ sita est super ripam torrentis Arnon, et mediæ partis in valle, dimidiæque Galaad, usque ad torrentem Jaboc, qui est terminus filiorum Ammon.

3Et a solitudine usque ad mare Ceneroth contra orientem, et usque ad mare deserti, quod est mare salsissimum, ad orientalem plagam per viam quæ ducit Bethsimoth: et ab australi parte, quæ subjacet Asedoth, Phasga.

4Terminus Og regis Basan, de reliquiis Raphaim, qui habitavit in Astaroth, et in Edrai, et dominatus est in monte Hermon, et in Salecha, atque in universa Basan, usque ad terminos

5Gessuri, et Machati, et dimidiæ partis Galaad: terminos Sehon regis Hesebon.

6Moyses famulus Domini et filii Israël percusserunt eos, tradiditque terram eorum Moyses in possessionem Rubenitis, et Gaditis, et dimidiæ tribui Manasse.

7Hi sunt reges terræ, quos percussit Josue et filii Israël trans Jordanem ad occidentalem plagam, a Baalgad in campo Libani, usque ad montem cujus pars ascendit in Seir: tradiditque eam Josue in possessionem tribubus Israël, singulis partes suas,

8tam in montanis quam in planis atque campestribus. In Asedoth, et in solitudine, ac in meridie, Hethæus fuit et Amorrhæus, Chananæus, et Pherezæus, Hevæus et Jebusæus.

9Rex Jericho unus: rex Hai, quæ est ex latere Bethel, unus:

10rex Jerusalem unus, rex Hebron unus,

11rex Jerimoth unus, rex Lachis unus,

12rex Eglon unus, rex Gazer unus,

13rex Dabir unus, rex Gader unus,

14rex Herma unus, rex Hered unus,

15rex Lebna unus, rex Odullam unus,

16rex Maceda unus, rex Bethel unus,

17rex Taphua unus, rex Opher unus,

18rex Aphec unus, rex Saron unus,

19rex Madon unus, rex Asor unus,

20rex Semeron unus, rex Achsaph unus,

21rex Thenac unus, rex Mageddo unus,

22rex Cades unus, rex Jachanan Carmeli unus,

23rex Dor et provinciæ Dor unus, rex gentium Galgal unus,

24rex Thersa unus: omnes reges triginta unus.

1These are the kings, whom the children of Israel slew and possessed their land beyond the Jordan towards the rising of the sun, from the torrent Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the east country that looketh towards the wilderness.

2Sehon king of the Amorrhites, who dwelt in Hesebon, and had dominion from Aroer, which is seated upon the bank of the torrent Arnon, and of the middle part in the valley, and of half Galaad, as far as the torrent Jaboc, which is the border of the children of Ammon.

3And from the wilderness, to the sea of Ceneroth towards the east, and to the sea of the wilderness, which is the most salt sea, on the east side by the way that leadeth to Bethsimoth: and on the south side that lieth under Asedoth, Phasga.

4The border of Og the king of Basan, of the remnant of the Raphaims who dwelt in Astaroth, and in Edrai, and had dominion in mount Hermon, and in Salecha, and in all Basan, unto the borders

5Of Gessuri and Machati, and of half Galaad: the borders of Sehon the king of Hesebon.

6Moses the servant of the Lord, and the children of Israel slew them, and Moses delivered their land in possession to the Rubenites, and Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasses.

7These are the kings of the land, whom Josue and the children of Israel slew beyond the Jordan on the west side from Baalgad in the held of Libanus, unto the mount, part of which goeth up into Seir: and Josue delivered it in possession to the tribes of Israel, to every one their divisions,

8As well in the mountains as in the plains and the champaign countries. In Asedoth, and in the wilderness, and in the south was the Hethite and the Amorrhite, the Chanaanite and the Pherezite, the Hevite and the Jebusite.

9The king of Jericho one: the king of Hai, which is on the side of Bethel, one:

10The king of Jerusalem one, the king of Hebron one.

11The king of Jerimoth one, the king of Lachis one,

12The king of Eglon one, the king of Gazer one,

13The king of Dabir one, the king of Gader one,

14The king of Herma one, the king of Hered one,

15The king of Lebna one, the king of Odullam one,

16The king of Maceda one, the king of Bethel one,

17The king of Taphua one, the king of Opher one,

18The king of Aphec one, the king of Saron one,

19The king of Madon one, the king of Asor one,

20The king of Semeron one, the king of Achsaph one,

21The king of Thenac one, the king of Megeddo one,

22The king of Cades one, the king of Jachanan of Carmel one,

23The king of Dor, and of the province of Dor one, the king of the nations of Galgal one,

24The king of Thersa one: all the kings thirty and one.
