Neemia 3

1Ed Eliasib sommo Sacerdote, e i suoi fratelli sacerdoti intrapreser di fabbricare la porta del gregge. Ei la consagrarono, e vi messero le sue imposte, e consagrarono (lo spazio) fino alla torre di cento cubiti, e fino alla torre di Hananeel.

2E presso a lui fabbricarono quelli di Gerico; e presso a lui fabbrico Zachur figliuolo di Amri.

3La porta de' pesci fu edificata da' figliuoli di Asnaa: ei vi posero l'architrave, e le imposte, e le serrature, e le sbarre. E accanto a loro fabbricò Marimuth figliuolo di Uria, figliuolo di Accus.

4E presso a questo fabbricò Mosollam figliuolo di Barachia, figliuolo di Mesezebel: e presso a questi fabbricò Sadoc figliuolo di Baana.

5E presso a questi edificaron quelli di Thecua: ma i principali loro cittadini non piegarono i loro colli a faticare all'opera del loro Signore.

6La porta vecchia fu edificata da Joiada figliuolo di Phasea, e da Mosollam figliuolo di Besodia: ei vi posero l'architrave, e le imposte, e le serrature, e le sbarre:

7E presso a questi fabbricarono Meltia di Gabaon, e Jadon di Meronath, e gli uomini di Gabaon, e di Maspha pel governatore del paese, che stava di là dal fiume.

8E presso a lui fabbricò Eziel figliuolo di Araia, orefice: e presso a lui fabbricò Hanania figliuolo di un profumiere: e lasciarono stare la parte di Gerusalemme, che va fino al muro della piazza maggiore.

9E presso a lui fabbricò Raphaia figliuolo di Hur, capo di una regione di Gerusalemme.

10E presso a lui fabbricò Jedaia figliuolo ai Haromaph, dirimpetto alla sua casa: e presso a lui fabbrico Hattus figliuolo di Hasebonia.

11La metà di una regione, e la torre de' forni fu fabbricata da Melchia figliuolo di Herem, e da Hasub figliuolo di Phahath-Moab.

12E presso a lui fabbricò Sellum figliuolo di Alohes, capo della metà di una regione di Gerusalemme; egli, e le sue figliuole.

13E la porta della valle fu edificata da Hanun, e dagli abitanti di Zanne: essi la fabbricarono, e vi poser le imposte, e le serrature, e le sbarre, e fecer mille cubiti di muraglia fino alla porta stercoraria.

14E la porta stercoraria fu fabbricata da Melchia figliuolo di Rechab, capo del quartiere di Bethacharam: egli la fabbricò, e vi pose imposte, e le serrature, e le sbarre.

15E la porta della fontana fu edificata da Sellum figliuolo di Cholhoza, capo del quartiere di Maspha: egli la edificò, e vi pose l'architrave, e le imposte, e le serrature, e le sbarre, e fece le muraglie della piscina di Siloe fino all'orto del re, e fino alla scalinata, per cui si scende dalla città di David.

16Appresso a lui fabbricò Nehemia figliuolo di Azboc, capo della metà del quartiere di Bethsur, fin dirimpetto al sepolcro di David, e fino alla piscina, che fu costrutta con grand'arte, e fino alla casa dei forti.

17Dopo di lui fabbricarono i Leviti, Rehum figliuolo di Benni: e dopo di lui Hasebia, capo della metà del quartiere di Ceila pel suo quartiere.

18Dopo di lui fabbricarono i suoi fratelli: Bavai figliuolo di Enadad, capo della metà del quartiere di Ceila.

19E dopo di questo Azer figliuolo di Josuè, capo del quartiere di Maspha, edifico la parte seconda dirimpetto alla salita dell'angolo fortificato.

20Dopo di lui Baruch figliuolo di Zachai fabbricò sul monte la seconda parte, dall'angolo fino alla porta della casa di Eliasib sommo Sacerdote.

21Dopo di lui Merimuth figliuolo di Uria, figliuolo di Haccus, fabbricò la seconda parte, dalla porta della casa di Eliasib, quanto si stendeva la casa di Eliasib.

22E dopo di lui fabbricarono i sacerdoti abitanti nelle pianure del Giordano.

23Dopo di essi fabbricarono Beniamin, e Hasub, dirimpetto alle loro case: e dopo di questi Azaria figliuolo di Maasia, figliuolo di Hanania dirimpetto alla sua casa.

24Dopo di lui fabbricò Bennui figliuolo di Henadad la seconda parte, alla casa di Azaria fino alla svolta, e all'angolo.

25Phalel figliuolo di Ozi (fabbrico) dirimpetto alla svolta, e alla torre, che spunta dalla parte superiore della casa del re, viene a dire, lungo l'atrio della prigione: dopo di lui Phadaia figliuolo di Pharos.

26Or i Nathinei abitavano in Ophel sin dirimpetto alla porta delle acque verso Levante, a sino alla torre, che sporge in fuora.

27Dopo di lui fabbricarono quelli di Thecua la seconda parte a dirimpetto, dalla gran torre, che scappa in fuora, sino alla muraglia del tempio.

28E all'insù dalla porta de' cavalli fabbricarono i sacerdoti, ciascuno di rimpetto alla propria casa.

29Dopo di essi Sadoc figliuolo di Emmer fabbricò dirimpetto a sua casa. E dopo di lui fabbrico Semaia figliuolo di Sechenia, custode della porta orientale (del tempio).

30Dopo di lui edificarono Hanania figliuolo di Selemia, e Hanun, sesto figliuolo di Seleph, la seconda parte: dopo di questi fabbricò Mosollam figliuolo di Barachia dirimpetto al suo erario. Dopo di lui Melchia figliuolo di un orefice fabbricò sino alla casa de' Nathinei, e de' merciai dirimpetto alla porta de' giudici, e sino alla sala dell'angolo.

31E lungo la sala dell'angolo alla porta del gregge fabbricaron gli orefici, e i mercatanti.

1Et surrexit Eliasib sacerdos magnus, et fratres ejus sacerdotes, et ædificaverunt portam gregis: ipsi sanctificaverunt eam, et statuerunt valvas ejus, et usque ad turrim centum cubitorum sanctificaverunt eam, usque ad turrim Hananeel.

2Et juxta eum ædificaverunt viri Jericho: et juxta eum ædificavit Zachur filius Amri.

3Portam autem piscium ædificaverunt filii Asnaa: ipsi texerunt eam, et statuerunt valvas ejus, et seras, et vectes. Et juxta eos ædificavit Marimuth filius Uriæ, filii Accus.

4Et juxta eum ædificavit Mosollam filius Barachiæ, filii Mesezebel: et juxta eos ædificavit Sadoc filius Baana.

5Et juxta eos ædificaverunt Thecueni: optimates autem eorum non supposuerunt colla sua in opere Domini sui.

6Et portam veterem ædificaverunt Jojada filius Phasea, et Mosollam filius Besodia: ipsi texerunt eam, et statuerunt valvas ejus, et seras, et vectes.

7Et juxta eos ædificaverunt Meltias Gabaonites, et Jadon Meronathites, viri de Gabaon et Maspha, pro duce qui erat in regione trans flumen.

8Et juxta eum ædificavit Eziel filius Araia aurifex: et juxta eum ædificavit Ananias filius pigmentarii: et dimiserunt Jerusalem usque ad murum plateæ latioris.

9Et juxta eum ædificavit Raphaia filius Hur, princeps vici Jerusalem.

10Et juxta eum ædificavit Jedaia filius Haromaph contra domum suam: et juxta eum ædificavit Hattus filius Haseboniæ.

11Mediam partem vici ædificavit Melchias filius Herem, et Hasub filius Phahath Moab, et turrim furnorum.

12Et juxta eum ædificavit Sellum filius Alohes, princeps mediæ partis vici Jerusalem, ipse et filiæ ejus.

13Et portam vallis ædificavit Hanun, et habitatores Zanoë: ipsi ædificaverunt eam, et statuerunt valvas ejus, et seras, et vectes, et mille cubitos in muro usque ad portam sterquilinii.

14Et portam sterquilinii ædificavit Melchias filius Rechab, princeps vici Bethacharam: ipse ædificavit eam, et statuit valvas ejus, et seras, et vectes.

15Et portam fontis ædificavit Sellum filius Cholhoza, princeps pagi Maspha: ipse ædificavit eam, et texit, et statuit valvas ejus, et seras, et vectes, et muros piscinæ Siloë in hortum regis, et usque ad gradus qui descendunt de civitate David.

16Post eum ædificavit Nehemias filius Azboc, princeps dimidiæ partis vici Bethsur, usque contra sepulchrum David, et usque ad piscinam quæ grandi opere constructa est, et usque ad domum fortium.

17Post eum ædificaverunt Levitæ, Rehum filius Benni: post eum ædificavit Hasebias princeps dimidiæ partis vici Ceilæ in vico suo.

18Post eum ædificaverunt fratres eorum: Bavai filius Enadad, princeps dimidiæ partis Ceilæ:

19et ædificavit juxta eum Azer filius Josue, princeps Maspha, mensuram secundam, contra ascensum firmissimi anguli.

20Post eum in monte ædificavit Baruch filius Zachai mensuram secundam, ab angulo usque ad portam domus Eliasib sacerdotis magni.

21Post eum ædificavit Merimuth filius Uriæ filii Haccus, mensuram secundam, a porta domus Eliasib, donec extenderetur domus Eliasib.

22Et post eum ædificaverunt sacerdotes, viri de campestribus Jordanis.

23Post eum ædificavit Benjamin et Hasub contra domum suam: et post eum ædificavit Azarias filius Maasiæ filii Ananiæ contra domum suam.

24Post eum ædificavit Bennui filius Henadad mensuram secundam, a domo Azariæ usque ad flexuram, et usque ad angulum.

25Phalel filius Ozi contra flexuram, et turrim quæ eminet de domo regis excelsa, id est, in atrio carceris: post eum Phadaia filius Pharos.

26Nathinæi autem habitabant in Ophel usque contra portam aquarum ad orientem, et turrim quæ prominebat.

27Post eum ædificaverunt Thecueni mensuram secundam e regione, a turre magna et eminente usque ad murum templi.

28Sursum autem a porta equorum ædificaverunt sacerdotes, unusquisque contra domum suam.

29Post eos ædificavit Sadoc filius Emmer contra domum suam. Et post eum ædificavit Semaia filius Secheniæ, custos portæ orientalis.

30Post eum ædificavit Hanania filius Selemiæ, et Hanun filius Seleph sextus, mensuram secundam: post eum ædificavit Mosollam filius Barachiæ, contra gazophylacium suum. Post eum ædificavit Melchias filius aurificis usque ad domum Nathinæorum, et scruta vendentium contra portam judicialem, et usque ad cœnaculum anguli.

31Et inter cœnaculum anguli in porta gregis, ædificaverunt aurifices et negotiatores.

1Then Eliasib the high priest arose, and his brethren the priests, and they built the flock gate: they sanctified it, and set up the doors thereof, even unto the tower of a hundred cubits they sanctified it unto the tower of Hananeel.

2And next to him the men of Jericho built: and next to them built Zachur the son of Amri.

3But the fish gate the sons of Asnaa built: they covered it, and set up the doors thereof, and tire locks, and the bars. And next to them built Marimuth the son of Urias the son of Accus.

4And next to him built Mosollam tile son of Barachias, the sell of Merezebel, and next to them built Sadoc the son of Baana.

5And next to them the Thecuites built: but their great men did not put their necks to the work of their Lord.

6And Joiada the son of Phasea, and Mosollam the son of Besodia built the old gate: they covered it and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bars.

7And next to them built Meltias the Gabaonite, and Jadon the Meronathite, the men of Gabaon and Maspha, for the governor that was in the country beyond the river.

8And next to him built Eziel the son of Araia the goldsmith: and next to him built Ananias the son of the perfumer: and they left Jerusalem unto the wall of the broad street.

9And next to him built Raphaia the son of Hur, lord of the street of Jerusalem.

10And next to him Jedaia the son of Haromaph over against his own house: and next to him built Hattus the son of Hasebonia.

11Melchias the son of Herem, and Hasub the son of Phahath Moab, built half the street, and the tower of the furnaces.

12And next to him built Sellum the son of Alohes, lord of half the street of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.

13And the gate of the valley Hanun built, and the inhabitants of Zanoe: they built it, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bars, and a thousand cubits in the wall unto the gate of the dunghill.

14And the gate of the dunghill Melchias the son of Rechab built, lord of the street of Bethacharam: he built it, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bars.

15And the gate of the fountain Sellum the son of Cholhoza built, lord of the street of Maspha: he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bare, and the walls of the pool of Siloe unto the king’s guard, and unto the steps that go down from the city of David.

16After him built Nehemias the son of Azboc, lord of half the street of Bethsur, as far as over against the sepulchre of David, and to the pool, that was built with great labour, and to the house of the mighty.

17After him built the Levites, Rehum the son of Benni. After him built Hasebias, lord of half the street of Ceila in his own street.

18After him built their brethren Bavai the son of Enadad, lord of half Ceila.

19And next to him Aser the son of Josue, lord of Maspha, built another measure, over against the going up of the strong corner.

20After him in the mount Baruch the son of Zachai built another measure, from the corner to the door of the house of Eliasib the high priest.

21After him Merimuth the son of Urias the son of Haccus, built another measure, from the door of the house of Eliasib, to the end of the house of Eliasib.

22And after him built the priests, the men of the plains of the Jordan.

23After him built Benjamin and Hasub, over against their own house: and after him built Azarias the son of Maasias the son of Ananias over against his house.

24After him built Bennui the son of Hanadad another measure, from the house of Azarias unto the bending, and unto the corner.

25Phalel, the son of Ozi, over against the bending and the tower, which lieth out from the king’s high house, that is, in the court of the prison: after him Phadaia the son of Pharos.

26And the Nathinites dwelt in Ophel, as far as over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that stood out.

27After him the Thecuites built another measure over against, from the great tower that standeth out unto the wall of the temple.

28And upward from the horse gate the priests built, every man over against his house.

29After them built Sadoc the son of Emmer over against his house. And after him built Semaia the son of Sechenias, keeper of the east gate.

30After him built Hanania the son of Selemia, and Hanun the sixth son of Seleph, another measure: after him built Mosollam the son of Barachias over against his treasury. After him Melcias the goldsmith’s son built unto the house of the Nathinites, and of the sellers of small wares, over against the judgment gate, and unto the chamber of the corner.

31And within the chamber of the corner of the dock gate, the goldsmiths and the merchants built.
