1Os filhos de Israel foram: Ruben, Simeão, Levi, Judá, Issacar, Zabulon,

2Dan, José, Benjamin, Neftali, Gad e Aser.

3Filhos de Judá: Her, Onan e Sela; estes três nasceram da filha de Sué, a Cananeia. Her, primogênito de Judá, foi mau diante do Senhor, e o Senhor fê-lo morrer.

4Tamar, nora de Judá, deu-lhe à luz Farés e Zara. Todos os filhos de Judá foram pois cinco.

5Filhos de Farés: Hesron e Hamul.

6Filhos de Zara: Zamri, Etan, Eman, Calcai e Dara, cinco a o todo.

7Filhos de Carmi: Acar, que turbou Israel e pecou num furto de coisa votada anátema.

8Filho de Etan: Azarias.

9Os filhos que nasceram de Hesron (foram): Jerameel, Ram e Calubi.

10Ram gerou Aminadab, Aminadab gerou Naasson príncipe dos filhos de Judá;

11Naasson gerou Salma, do qual procedeu Booz;

12Booz gerou Obed, o qual gerou Isaí;

13Isaí teve por primogênito a Ellab, sendo seu segundo (filho) Abinadab, terceiro Simaa,

14quarto Natanael, quinto Radal,

15sexto Asom, sétimo Davide.

16Foram irmãs destes Sarvla e Abigall. Os filhos de Sarvia (foram) três; Abisai, Joab e Asael.

17Abigall gerou Amasa, cujo pai foi Jeter Ismaelita.

18Caleb, filho de Hesron, teve filhos de sua mulher Azuba, assim como de Jeriot. Os filhos de Azuba foram: Jaser, Sobab e Ardon.

19Tendo morrido Azuba, Caleb tomou por mulher Efrata, da qual teve Hur.

20Hur gerou Uri; Uri gerou Bezeleel.

21Depois Hesron tomou por mulher a filha de Maquir pai de Galaad; recebeu-a, tendo sessenta anos, e teve dela Segub.

22Segub também gerou Jair, o qual foi senhor de vinte e três cidades na terra Galaad.

23Gessur e Arão tomaram as cidades de Jair, assim como Canat, com as suas aldeias, sessenta cidades. Todos estes eram filhos de Maquir, pai de Galaad.

24Depois da morte de Hesron, em Caleb-Efrata, Abia, mulher de Hesron, deu-lhe à luz Azur, pai de Técua.

25A Jerameel, primogênito de Hesron, nasceram os filhos: Ram, primogênito, Buna, Arão, Ason e Aquia.

26Jerameel também casou com outra mulher chamada Atara, que foi mãe de Onam.

27Bam, primogênito de Jerameel, teve por filhos a Moos, a Jamim e a Acar.

28Onam teve por filhos a Semei e a Jada. Os filhos de Semei foram: Nadab e Abisur.

29A mulher de Abisur chamava-se Abiail, a qual lhe deu à luz Aoban e Molid.

30Os filhos de Nadab foram Saled e Afaim. Saled morreu sem filhos.

31Afaim teve um filho chamado Jesi, o qual Jesi gerou Sesan. Sesan gerou Oolai.

32Os filhos de Jada, irmão de Semei, foram: Jeter e Jonatan. Jeter morreu sem filhos.

33Jonatan gerou Falet e Ziza. Estes foram os filhos de Jerameel.

34Sesan não teve filhos, mas sòmente filhas; (tomou) um escravo egípcio, chamado Jeraa,

35a quem deu por mulher uma sua filha, a qual lhe deu à luz Etei.

36Etei gerou Natan, e Natan gerou Zabad;

37Zabad gerou Oflal, e Oflal gerou Obed;

38Obed gerou Jeú; Jeú gerou Azarias;

39Azarias gerou Heles; Heles gerou Elasa:

40Elasa gerou Sisamoi; Sisamoi gerou Selum;

41Selum gerou Icamia, e Icamia gerou Elisama.

42Os filhos de Caleb, irmão de Jerameel, foram Mesa, seu primogênito, que foi pai de Zif, e os descendentes de Maresa, pai de Hebron.

43Filhos de Hebron: Coré, Tafua, Recem e Sama.

44Sarna gerou Raão, pai de Jercaão; Recera gerou Samai;

45Samai teve um filho, chamado Maou; Maon foi pai de Betsur.

46Efa, mulher de segunda ordem de Caleb, deu à luz Haran, Mosa e Gezez. Haran gerou Gezez.

47Filhos de Joadai: Regom, Joatan, Gesan, Falet, Efa e Saaf.

48Maaca, mulher de segunda ordem de Caleb, deu à luz Saber e Tarana.

49Ela deu também à luz Saaf, pai de Madmena, e Sue, pai de Maquebena e pai de Gabaa. Acsa foi filha de Caleb.

50Filhos de Caleb, filho de Hur, primogênito de Efrata, foram estes: Sobal, pai de Cariatiarim,

51Salma. pai de Belém, Harif, pai de Betgader.

52Sobal, pai de Cariatiarim, teve por filhos Haroé, Hatsi-Hamme-nuhoth.

53As famílias que eles fundaram em Cariatiarim foram: os Jetreus, os Afuteus, os Semateus e os Masereus. Destes procederam os Saraítas e os Estaolitas.

54Filhos de Salma: Belém e os Netofatlanos, Ataroth-Beth-Joab, metade dos Manaquitianos, os Saraítas, (foi) dos descendentes de Sarai.

55e também as famílias dos escribas, que habitavam em Jabes: Os Tiriatianos, os Squimatianos e os Sucatianos. Estes são os Cinens, que descendem de Hamath, pai da casa de Recab.

16Quorum sorores fuerunt Sarvia et Abigail. Filii Sarviæ: Abisai, Joab, et Asaël, tres.

17Abigail autem genuit Amasa, cujus pater fuit Jether Ismahelites.

18Caleb vero filius Hesron accepit uxorem nomine Azuba, de qua genuit Jerioth: fueruntque filii ejus Jaser, et Sobab, et Ardon.

19Cumque mortua fuisset Azuba, accepit uxorem Caleb Ephratha, quæ peperit ei Hur.

20Porro Hur genuit Uri, et Uri genuit Bezeleel.

21Post hæc ingressus est Hesron ad filiam Machir patris Galaad, et accepit eam cum esset annorum sexaginta: quæ peperit ei Segub.

22Sed et Segub genuit Jair, et possedit viginti tres civitates in terra Galaad.

23Cepitque Gessur et Aram oppida Jair, et Canath, et viculos ejus sexaginta civitatum: omnes isti filii Machir patris Galaad.

24Cum autem mortuus esset Hesron, ingressus est Caleb ad Ephratha. Habuit quoque Hesron uxorem Abia, quæ peperit ei Assur patrem Thecuæ.

25Nati sunt autem filii Jerameel primogeniti Hesron, Ram primogenitus ejus, et Buna, et Aram, et Asom, et Achia.

26Duxit quoque uxorem alteram Jerameel, nomine Atara, quæ fuit mater Onam.

27Sed et filii Ram primogeniti Jerameel fuerunt Moos, Jamin, et Achar.

28Onam autem habuit filios Semei et Jada. Filii autem Semei: Nadab et Abisur.

29Nomen vero uxoris Abisur, Abihail, quæ peperit ei Ahobban et Molid.

30Filii autem Nadab fuerunt Saled et Apphaim. Mortuus est autem Saled absque liberis.

31Filius vero Apphaim, Jesi: qui Jesi genuit Sesan. Porro Sesan genuit Oholai.

32Filii autem Jada fratris Semei: Jether, et Jonathan. Sed et Jether mortuus est absque liberis.

33Porro Jonathan genuit Phaleth, et Ziza. Isti fuerunt filii Jerameel.

34Sesan autem non habuit filios, sed filias: et servum ægyptium nomine Jeraa.

35Deditque ei filiam suam uxorem: quæ peperit ei Ethei.

36Ethei autem genuit Nathan, et Nathan genuit Zabad.

37Zabad quoque genuit Ophlal, et Ophlal genuit Obed.

38Obed genuit Jehu, Jehu genuit Azariam,

39Azarias genuit Helles, et Helles genuit Elasa.

40Elasa genuit Sisamoi, Sisamoi genuit Sellum,

41Sellum genuit Icamiam, Icamia autem genuit Elisama.

42Filii autem Caleb fratris Jerameel: Mesa primogenitus ejus; ipse est pater Ziph: et filii Maresa patris Hebron.

43Porro filii Hebron, Core, et Taphua, et Recem, et Samma.

44Samma autem genuit Raham, patrem Jercaam, et Recem genuit Sammai.

45Filius Sammai, Maon: et Maon pater Bethsur.

50Hi erant filii Caleb, filii Hur primogeniti Ephratha, Sobal pater Cariathiarim.

51Salma pater Bethlehem, Hariph pater Bethgader.

52Fuerunt autem filii Sobal patris Cariathiarim, qui videbat dimidium requietionum.

53Et de cognatione Cariathiarim, Jethrei, et Aphuthei, et Semathei, et Maserei. Ex his egressi sunt Saraitæ, et Esthaolitæ.

54Filii Salma, Bethlehem, et Netophathi, coronæ domus Joab, et dimidium requietionis Sarai:

55cognationes quoque scribarum habitantium in Jabes, canentes atque resonantes, et in tabernaculis commorantes. Hi sunt Cinæi, qui venerunt de Calore patris domus Rechab.
