4Eleazar gerou Fineias, e Fineias gerou Abisué;

5Abisué gerou Boci, e Boci gerou Ozi;

6Ozi gerou Zaraias, e Zaraias gerou Meraiot;

7Meraiot gerou Amarias, e Amarias gerou Aquitob;

8Aquitob gerou Sadoc, e Sadoc gerou Aquimaas;

9Aquimaas gerou Azarias, e Azarias gerou Joanan;

10Joanan gerou Azarias, que é aquele que exerceu o sacerdócio no templo que Salomão tinha fundado em Jerusalém;

11Azarias gerou Amarias, e Amarias gerou Aquitob;

12Aquitob gerou Sadoc, e Sadoc gerou Selum;

13Selum gerou Helcias, e Helcias gerou Azarias;

14Azarias gerou Saraias, e Saraias gerou Josedec.

15Josedec deixou a sua pátria, quando o Senhor transferiu o povo de Judá e de Jerusalém por meio de Nabucodonosor.

16Os filhos de Levi foram: Gerson, Caat e Merari.

17Estes são os nomes dos filhos de Gerson; Lobni e Semei.

18Filhos de Caat: Amrão, Isaar, Hebron e Oziei.

19Filhos de Merari: Mooli e Musi. Eis os descendentes de Levi segundo as suas famílias:

20De Gerson foi filho Lobni, de Lobni Jaat, de Jaat Zama,

21de Zama Joú, de Joá Ado, de Ado Zara, de Zara Jetrai.

22Filhos de Caat: Aminadab, seu filho, Coré, filho de Aminadab, Asir de Coré,

23Elcana de Asir, Abiasaf de Elcana, Asir de Ablasaf,

24Taat de Asir, Uriel de Taat, Ozias de Uriel, Saul de Ozias.

25Filhos de Elcana: Amasai, e Aquimot,

26Elcana, seu filho, Sofai, seu filho, Naat, seu filho,

27Eliab, seu filho, Jeroão seu filho, Elcana, seu filho.

28Filhos de Samuel: Vasseni, primogênito, e Abia.

29Filhos de Merari: Mooli, Lobni, filho deste, Semei, filho de Lobni, Oza, filho de Semei,

30Samaa, filho de Oza, Hagia, filho de Samaa, Asaia, filho de Hagia.

31Eis aqueles que Davide constituiu sobre os cantores da casa do Senhor, depois que a arca foi colocada (em Jerusalém):

32cantando, ministraram diante do tabernáculo do testemunho, até que Salomão edificou a casa do Senhor em Jerusalém, e exerceram o seu ministério segundo o seu turno.

33Eis os que serviam juntamente com seus filhos: Dos filhos de Caat: Heman cantor, filho de Joel, filho de Samuel,

34filho de Elcana, filho de Jeroão, filho de Eliel, filho de Tou,

35filho de Suf, filho de Elcana, filho de Maat, filho de Amasai,

36filho de Elcana, filho de Joel, filho de Azarias, filho de Sofonias,

37filho de Taat, filho de Asir, filho de Abiasaf, filho de Coré,

38filho de Isaar, filho de Caat, filho de Levi, filho de Israel.

39Seu irmão Asaf, que estava à sua direita, e que era filho de Baraquias, filho de Samaa,

40filho de Miguel, filho de Basaia, filho de Melquia,

41filho de Atanai, filho de Zara, filho de Adaia,

42filho de Etan, filho de Zama, filho de Semei,

43filho de Jet, filho de Gerson, filho de Levi.

44Seus irmãos, filhos de Merari, estavam à esquerda: Etan, filho de Cusi, filho de Abdi, filho de Maloc,

45filho de Hasabias, filho de Amasias, filho de Helcias,

46filho de Amasai, filho de Boni, filho de Somer,

47filho de Mooli, filho de Musi, filho de Merari, filho de Levi.

48Os Levitas, seus irmãos, foram destinados para todo o serviço do tabernáculo da casa do Senhor.

49Porém Aarão e seus filhos queimavam as vítimas sobre o altar dos holocaustos e sobre o altar dos perfumes, (ocupando-se) em tudo o que dizia respeito ao Santo dos Santos, e oravam por Israel, seguindo tudo o que Moisés, servo do Senhor, tinha prescrito.

50Os filhos de Aarão são estes: Eleazar, seu filho, Fineias, filho de Eleazar, Abisué, filho de Fineias,

51Boci, filho de Abisué, Ozi, filho de Boci, Zaraia, filho de Ozi,

52Meraiot, filho de Zaraia, Amarias, filho de Meraiot, Aquitob, filho de Amarias,

53Sadoc, filho de Aquitob, Aquimaas, filho de Sadoc.

54Estas são as suas habitações pelas povoações e arredores, isto é, as habitações dos filhos de Aarão, segundo as famílias dos Caatitas, que lhes tinham tocado por sorte.

55Foi-lhes, pois, dada Hebron na terra de Judá, e os subúrbios que a rodeiam;

56os campos, porém, da cidade e as aldeias foram dados a Caleb, filho de Jefone.

57Foram, pois dadas aos filhos de Arão: Hebron, cidade de refúgio, Lobna, com os seus subúrbios,

58Jeter e Estemo, com os seus subúrbios, Helon e Dabir, com os seus subúrbios,

59Asan e Betesemes, com os seus subúrbios;

60da tribo de Benjamim deram-lhes: Gabee com os seus subúrbios, Almat com os seus subúrbios, Anatot com os seus subúrbios: ao todo treze cidades repartidas entre as suas famílias.

61Aos filhos de Caat, que restavam da sua família, foram dadas em possessão dez cidades da meia tribo de Manassés.

62Aos filhos de Gerson, segundo as suas famílias, foram dadas treze cidades da tribo de Issacar, da tribo de Aser, da tribo de Neftali e da tribo de Manassés, em Basan.

63Aos filhos de Merari, segundo as suas famílias, foram dadas à sorte doze cidades da tribo de Ruben, da tribo de Gad e da tribo de Zabulon.

64Deram os filhos de Israel aos Levitas estas cidades com os seus subúrbios;

65deram-lhes por sorte estas cidades, da tribo dos filhos de Judá, da tribo dos filhos de Simeão e da tribo dos filhos de Benjamim, as quais designaram pelos seus próprios nomes.

66Quanto aos que eram da parentela dos filhos de Caat, as cidades do seu domínio foram da tribo de Efraim.

67Deram-lhes as cidades de refúgio: Siquem com os seus subúrbios sobre o monte de Efraim, Gazer com os seus subúrbios,

68Jecmaam com os seus subúrbios, e da mesma sorte Betoron,

69e também Helon com os seus subúrbios, e Getremon da mesma maneira.

70Da meia tribo de Manassés, deram Aner, com os seus subúrbios, e Balaão, com os seus subúrbios, àqueles que ainda restavam da linhagem dos filhos de Caat.

71Aos filhos de Gerson deram da meia tribo de Manassés: Gaulon em Basan, com os seus subúrbios, e Astarot com os seus subúrbios.

72Da tribo de Issacar (deram-lhes): Cedes com os seus subúrbios, Daberet com os seus subúrbios,

73Ramot com os seus subúrbios, Anem com os seus subúrbios.

74Da tribo de Aser: Masal com os seus subúrbios, e igualmente Abdon

75e Hucac com os seus subúrbios, e Roob com os seus subúrbios.

76Da tribo de Neftali: Cedes na Galilén com os seus subúrbios, Hamon com os seus subúrbios, Cariataim com os seus subúrbios.

77Aos filhos de Merari, que ainda restavam, (deram) da tribo de Zabulon: Remono com os seus subúrbios, e Tabor com os seus subúrbios.

78Da banda de além do Jordão, defronte de Jericó, ao oriente do Jordão, deram da tribo de Ruben: Bosor no deserto com os seus subúrbios, Jassa com os seus subúrbios,

79Cademot com os seus subúrbios, Mefaat com os seus subúrbios.

80Além disso, (deram-lhes) da tribo de Gad: Ramot em Galaad com os seus subúrbios, Manaim com os seus subúrbios,

81Hesebon com os seus subúrbios, Jezer com os seus subúrbios.

12And Achitob beget Sadoc, and Sadoc beget Sellum,

13Sellum beget Helcias, and Helcias beget Azarias,

14Azarias beget Saraias, and Saraias beget Josedec.

15Now Josedec went out, when the Lord carried away Juda, and Jerusalem, by the hands of Nabuchodonosor.

16So the sons of Levi were Gerson, Caath, and Merari.

17And these are the names of the sons of Gerson: Lobni and Semei.

18The sons of Caath: Amram, and Isaar, and Hebron, and Oziel.

19The sons of Merari: Moholi and Musi. And these are the kindreds of Levi according to their families.

20Of Gerson: Lobni his son, Jahath his son, Zamma his son,

21Joah his son, Addo his son, Zara his son, Jethrai his son.

22The sons of Caath, Aminadab his son, Core his son, Asir his son,

23Elcana his son, Abiasaph his son, Asir his son,

24Thahath his son, Uriel his son, Ozias his son, Saul his son.

25The sons of Elcana: Amasai, and Achimoth.

26And Elcana. The sons of Elcana: Sophai his son, Nahath his son,

27Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elcana his son.

28The sons of Samuel: the firstborn Vasseni, and Abia.

29And the sons of Merari, Moholi: Lobni his son, Semei his son, Oza his son,

30Sammaa his son, Haggia his son, Asaia his son.

31These are they, whom David set over the singing men of the house of the Lord, after that the ark was placed:

32And they ministered before the tabernacle of the testimony, with singing, until Solomon built the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, and they stood according to their order in the ministry.

33And these are they that stood with their sons, of the sons of Caath, Hemam a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Sammuel,

34The son of Elcana, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Thohu,

35The son of Suph, the son of Elcana, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai,

36The son of Elcana, the son of Johel, the son of Azarias, the son of Sophonias,

37The son of Thahath, the son of Asir, the son or Abiasaph, the son of Core,

38The son of Isaar, the son of Caath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

39And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, Asaph the son of Barachias, the son of Samaa.

40The son of Michael, the son of Basaia, the son of Melchia.

41The son of Athanai, the son of Zara, the son of Adaia.

42The son of Ethan, the son of Zamma, the son of Semei.

43The son of Jeth, the son of Gerson, the son of Levi.

44And the sons of Merari their brethren, on the left hand, Ethan the son of Cusi, the son of Abdi, the son of Meloch,

45The son of Hasabia, the son of Amasai, the son of Helcias,

46The son of Amasai, the son of Boni, the son of Somer,

47The son of Moholi, the son of Mud, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

48Their brethren also the Levites, who were appointed for all the ministry of the tabernacle of the house of the Lord.

49But Aaron and his sons offered burnt offerings upon the altar of holocausts, and upon the altar of incense, for very work of the holy of holies: and to pray for Israel according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

50And these are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinees his son, Abisue his son,

51Bocci his son, Ozi his son, Zarahia his son,

52Meraioth his son, Amarias his son, Achitob his son,

53Sadoc his son, Achimaas his son.

54And these are their dwelling places by the towns and confines, to wit, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Caathites: for they fell to them by lot.

55And they gave them Hebron in the land of Juda, and the suburbs thereof round about:

56But the fields of the city, and the villages to Caleb son of Jephone.

57And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities for refuge Hebron, and Lobna, and the suburbs thereof,

58And Jether and Esthemo, with their suburbs, and Helon, and Dabir with their suburbs:

59Asan also, and Bethsames, with their suburbs.

60And out of the tribe of Benjamin: Gabee and its suburbs, Almath with its suburbs, Anathoth also with its suburbs: all their cities throughout their families were thirteen.

61And to the sons of Caath that remained of their kindred they gave out of the half tribe of Manasses ten cities in possession.

62And to the sons of Gerson by their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Aser, and out of the tribe of Nephtali, and out of the tribe of Manasses in Basan, thirteen cities.

63And to the sons of Merari by their families out of the tribe of Ruben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zabulon, they gave by lot twelve cities.

64And the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities, and their suburbs.

65And they gave them by lot, out of the tribe of the sons of Juda, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, these cities which they called by their names.

66And to them that were of the kindred of the sons of Caath, and the cities in their borders were of the tribe of Ephraim.

67And they gave the cities of refuge Sichem with its suburbs in mount Ephraim, and Gazer with its suburbs,

68Jecmaan also with its suburbs, and Beth-horon in like manner,

69Helon also with its suburbs, and Gethremmon in like manner,

70And out of the half tribe of Manasses, Aner and its suburbs, Baalam and its suburbs: to wit, to them that were left of the family of the sons of Caath.

71And to the sons of Gersom, out of the kindred of the half tribe of Manasses, Gaulon, in Basan, and its suburbs, and Astharoth with its suburbs.

72Out of the tribe of Issachar, Cedes and its suburbs, and Dabereth with its suburbs;

73Ramoth also and its suburbs, and Anem with its suburbs.

74And out of the tribe of Aser: Masal with its suburbs, and Abdon in like manner;

75Hucac also and its suburbs, and Rohol with its suburbs.

76And out of the tribe of Nephtali, Cedes in Galilee and its suburbs, Hamon with its suburbs, and Cariathaim, and its suburbs.

77And to the sons of Merari that remained: out of the tribe of Zabulon, Remmono and its suburbs, and Thabor with its suburbs.

78Beyond the Jordan also over against Jericho, on the east side of the Jordan, out of the tribe of Ruben, Bosor in the wilderness with its suburbs, and Jassa with its suburbs;

79Cademoth also and its suburbs, and Mephaath with its suburbs;

80Moreover also out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Galaad and its suburbs, and Manaim with its suburbs;

81Hesebon also with its suburbs, and Jazer with its suburbs.
