1Figliuoli d'Issachar quattro: Thola e Phua, Jasub, e Simeron.

2Figliuoli di Thola: Ozi, e Raphaia, e Jeriel, e Jemai, e Jebsem, e Samuel, capi di varie famiglie, e casate. Della stirpe di Thola furon contati a tempo di Davidde, ventidue mila secento uomini di sommo valore.

3Figliuolo di Ozi: Izrahia, da cui nacque Michael, e Obadia, e Johel, e Jesia, tutti cinque principi.

4E venivano dietro ad essi delle loro consorterie, e famiglie, trentasei mila uomini fortissimi addestrati al mestiero delle armi; perocché aveano molte mogli, e figliuoli.

5E de' loro fratelli in tutta la casa d'Issachar si contarono fino a ottanta sette mila valorosissimi combattenti.

6Figliuoli di Beniamin tre: Bela, e Bechor, e Jadihel.

7Figliuoli di Bela: Esbon, e Ozi, e Oziel e Jerimoth, e Urai, cinque capi di famiglie di uomini di sommo valore nelle battaglie, il numero de' quali fu di ventidue mila trentaquattro.

8Figliuoli di Bechor: Zamira, e Joas, ed Eliezer, ed Elioenai, e Amri, e Jerimoth, e Abia, e Anathoth, e Almath. Tutti questi figliuoli di Bechor.

9E furon contati nelle loro famiglie, le quali furono il ceppo di altri rami, ventimila dugento uomini valorosissimi in guerra.

10Figliuolo di Jadihel: Balan. Di Balan furono figliuoli, Jehus, e Beniamin, e Aod e Chanana, e Zethan, e Tharsis, e Ahisahar.

11Tutti questi discendenti di Jadihel capi delle loro famiglie, nelle quali furono diciassette mila dugento uomini fortissimi in età militare.

12Sepham, e Hapham figliuoli di Hir, e Hasim figliuolo di Aher.

13Figliuolo di Nephthali: Jasiel, e Guni, e Jeser, e Sellum, figliuoli di Baia.

14Figliuolo di Manasse, Esriel: e una Soriana sua concubina partorì a Manasse Machir padre di Galaad.

15Machir diede moglie a' suoi figliuoli Happhim, e Saphan: ed ebbe una sorella per nome Maacha: il suo nipote fu nominato Salphaad; e Salphaad ebbe delle figliuole.

16E Maacha moglie di Machir partorì un figliuolo, al quale pose nome Phares, il quale ebbe un fratello chiamato Sares: del quale furono figliuoli Ulam, e Recen.

17Figliuolo di Ulam fu Badan: questi sono i figliuoli di Galaad, figliuolo di Machir, figliuolo di Manasse.

18La sorella di lui Regina partorì il bell'uomo, e Abiezer, e Mohola.

19Figliuoli di Semida erano, Ahin, e Sechem, e Leci, e Aniam.

20Figliuolo di Ephraim: Suthala, Bared suo figliuolo. Thahath suo figliuolo, Elada suo figliuolo, Thahath suo figliuolo, Zabad suo figliuolo.

21Figliuolo di lui Suthala, e figliuoli di questo Ezer, ed Elad: ma gli abitanti del paese di Geth gli uccisero, perchè erano andati ad occupare le loro possessioni.

29Ebbero anche in vicinanza de' figliuoli di Manasse Bethsan colle sue adiacenze, Thanac colle sue adiacenze, Mageddo, e Dor colle loro adiacenze: in questi luoghi abitarono i figliuoli di Giuseppe, figliuolo d'Israel.

30Figliuoli di Aser: Jemma, e Jesua, e Jessui, e Baria, e Sara loro sorella.

31Figliuoli di Baria: Heber, e Melchiel: egli è padre di Barsahith.

32Heber generò Jephlat, e Somer, e Hothan, e Suaa loro sorella.

22Luxit igitur Ephraim pater eorum multis diebus, et venerunt fratres ejus ut consolarentur eum.

23Ingressusque est ad uxorem suam: quæ concepit, et peperit filium, et vocavit nomen ejus Beria, eo quod in malis domus ejus ortus esset:

24filia autem ejus fuit Sara, quæ ædificavit Bethoron inferiorem et superiorem, et Ozensara.

25Porro filius ejus Rapha, et Reseph, et Thale, de quo natus est Thaan,

28Possessio autem eorum et habitatio, Bethel cum filiabus suis, et contra orientem Noran, ad occidentalem plagam Gazer et filiæ ejus, Sichem quoque cum filiabus suis, usque ad Aza cum filiabus ejus.

29Juxta filios quoque Manasse, Bethsan et filias ejus, Thanach et filias ejus, Mageddo et filias ejus, Dor et filias ejus: in his habitaverunt filii Joseph, filii Israël.

30Filii Aser: Jemna, et Jesua, et Jessui, et Baria, et Sara soror eorum.

31Filii autem Baria: Heber, et Melchiel: ipse est pater Barsaith.

32Heber autem genuit Jephlat, et Somer, et Hotham, et Suaa sororem eorum.

33Filii Jephlat: Phosech, et Chamaal, et Asoth: hi filii Jephlat.

34Porro filii Somer: Ahi, et Roaga, et Haba, et Aram.

35Filii autem Helem fratris ejus: Supha, et Jemna, et Selles, et Amal.

40Omnes hi filii Aser, principes cognationum, electi atque fortissimi duces ducum: numerus autem eorum ætatis quæ apta esset ad bellum, viginti sex millia.

1Now the sons of Issachar were Thola, and Phua, Jasub and Simeron, four.

2The sons of Thola: Ozi and Raphaia, and Jeriel, and Jemai, and Jebsem, and Samuel, chiefs of the houses of their kindreds. Of the posterity of Thola were numbered in the days of David, two and twenty thousand six hundred most valiant men.

3The sons of Ozi: Izrahia, of whom were born Michael, and Obadia, and Joel, and Jesia, five all great men.

4And there were with them by their families and peoples, six and thirty thousand most valiant men ready for war: for they had many wives and children.

5Their brethren also throughout all the house of Issachar, were numbered fourscore and seven thousand most valiant men for war.

6The sons of Benjamin were Bela, and Bechor, and Jadihel, three.

7The sons of Bela: Esbon, and Ozi, and Ozial, and Jerimoth and Urai, five chiefs of their families, and most valiant warriors, and their number was twenty-two thousand and thirty-four.

8And the sons of Bechor were Zamira, and Joas, and Eliezer, and Elioenai, and Amai, and Jerimoth, and Abia, and Anathoth, and Almath: all these were the sons of Bechor.

9And they were numbered by the families, heads of their kindreds, most valiant men for war, twenty thousand and two hundred.

10And the son of Jadihel: Balan. And the sons of Balan: Jehus and Benjamin and Aod, and Chanana, and Zethan and Tharsis, and Ahisahar.

11All these were sons of Jadihel, heads of their kindreds, most valiant men, seventeen thousand and two hundred fit to go out to war.

12Sepham also and Hapham the sons of Hir: and Hasim the sons of Aher.

14And the son of Manasses, Ezriel: and his concubine the Syrian bore Machir the father of Galaad.

16And Maacha the wife of Machir bore a son, and she called his name Phares: and the name of his brother was Sares: and his sons were Ulam and Recen.

17And the son of Ulam, Baden. These are the sons of Galaad, the son of Machir the son of Manasses.

28And their possessions and habitations were Bethel with her daughters, and eastward Noran, and westward Gazer and her daughters, Sichem also with her daughters, as far as Ass with her daughters.

29And by the borders of the sons of Manasses Bethsan and her daughters, Thanach and her daughters, Mageddo and her daughters: Dor and her daughters: in these dwelt the children of Joseph, the son of Israel.

30The children of Aser were Jemna, and Jesua, and Jessui, and Baria, and Sara their sister.

31And the sons of Baria: Haber, and Melchiel: he is the father of Barsaith.

32And Heber beget Jephlat, and Somer, and Hotham, and Suaa their sister.

33The sons of Jephlat: Phosech, and Chamaal, and Asoth: these are the sons of Jephlat.

34And the sons of Somer: Ahi, and Roaga, and Haba, and Aram.

35And the sons of Helem his brother: Supha, and Jemna, and Selles, and Amal.
