1 Cronache 9

1Si è adunque fatto il conto di tutto quanto Israele: e il numero, a cui ascendevano, fu scritto nel catasto dei re d'Israele, e di Giuda. Ed eglino furon trasportati a Babilonia pei loro peccati.

2Quelli poi, che abitarono i primi nelle loro possessioni, e nelle loro città, furono gli Israeliti, i Sacerdoti, i Leviti, e i Nathinei.

3Dimorarono in Gerusalemme parte de' figliuoli di Giuda, e de' figliuoli di Beniamin, e anche de' figliuoli di Ephraim, e di Manasse;

4Othei figliuolo di Ammiud, figliuolo di Amri, figliuolo di Omrai, figliuolo di Bonni uno de' figliuoli di Phares, figliuolo di Giuda.

5E Asaia primogenito di Siloni, e i figliuoli di lui.

6Jehuel uno de' figliuoli di Zara, e i fratelli di questi, secento novanta

7E de' figliuoli di Beniamin: Salo figliuolo di Mosollam, figliuolo di Odvia, figliuolo di Asana:

8E Jobania figliuolo di Jeroham: ed Eia figliuolo di Ozi, figliuolo di Mochori: e Mosollam figliuolo di Saphatia, figliuolo di Rahuel, figliuolo di Jebania:

9E i fratelli di questi divisi nelle loro famiglie in numero di novecento cinquantasei. Tutti questi furon capi di diversi rami della loro consorteria.

10Dei sacerdoti poi vi fu Jedaia, Joairib, e Jachin:

11Come anche Azaria figliuolo di Helcia; figliuolo di Mosollam, figliuolo di Sadoc, figliuolo di Maraioth, figliuolo di Achitob, Pontefice della casa di Dio.

12E Adaia figliuolo di Jeroham, figliuolo di Phassur, figliuolo di Melchia: e Maasai figliuolo di Adiel, figliuolo di Jezra, figliuolo di Mosollam, figliuolo di Mosollamith, figliuolo di Emmer:

13E insieme i loro fratelli capi delle loro famiglie in numero di mille settecento sessanta uomini robusti, e vigorosi per portar le fatiche del ministero nella casa del Signore.

14Dei Leviti poi Semeia figliuolo di Hassub, figliuolo di Ezricam, figliuolo di Hasebia, uno de' figliuoli di Merari;

15E Bacbacar legnaiuolo, e Galal, e Mathania figliuolo di Micha, figliuolo di Zechri, figliuolo di Asaph;

16E Obdia figliuolo di Semeia, figliuolo di Galal, figliuolo d'Idithun; e Barachia figliuolo di Asa, figliuolo di Elcana, il quale abitò nei villaggi di Netophati.

17I portinaj furono Sellum, e Accub, e Telmon, e Ahimam; e il loro fratello Sellum era loro capo.

18Fino a quel tempo una parte de' figliuoli di Levi erano di sentinella ciascuno a suo turno alla porta del re, che è a Levante.

19Sellum figliuolo di Core, figliuolo di Abiasaph. Figliuolo di Core co' suoi fratelli, e colla famiglia del padre suo; questi sono i Coriti, che presiedono ai lavori concernenti il ministero, e hanno la custodia dei vestiboli del tabernacolo: e le loro famiglie a vicenda sono di sentinella all'ingresso del campo del Signore.

20E Phinees figliuolo di Eleazaro era loro capo nel servigio del Signore.

21E Zacharia figliuolo di Mosallamia era custode della porta del tabernacolo del testimonio.

22Tutti questi eletti a stare di guardia alle porte erano dugento dodici; ed erano descritti nel catasto delle loro città: e furono istituiti da Davidde, e da Samuele profeta per la loro fede,

23Tanto essi, come i loro figliuoli per custodire le porte della casa del signore, e del santuario secondo il loro turno.

24I portinaj erano collocati secondo i quattro venti, viene a dire, a levante, a occidente, a settentrione, e a mezzodì.

25E i loro fratelli stanziavano ne' loro villaggi, ma venivano nei loro sabati di settimana in settimana.

26A questi quattro Leviti eran subordinati tutti quanti i portinaj, ed esse soprintendevano alle camere, e ai tesori della casa del Signore.

27Eglino parimente dimoravano ai loro posti attorno al tempio del Signore: e venuta l'ora, aprivano al mattino le porte.

28Di questi alcuni aveano la custodia dei vasi, che servono pel ministero; perocché si contavano i vasi, quando si mettevano fuora, e quando si rimettevano dentro.

29Di questi, che avean la custodia dei vasi del Santuario, alcuni avean cura della farina, e del vino, e dell'olio, e dell'incenso, e degli aromi.

30Ma erano i figliuoli de' sacerdoti quelli, che facevan gli unguenti cogli aromi.

31E Mathathia Levita primogenito di Sellum di Core avea cura di tutto quello, che si friggeva nella padella.

32Alcuni de' figliuoli di Caath loro fratelli erano deputati sopra i pani della proposizione per prepararne sempre de' nuovi ogni sabato.

33Questi sono i capi dei cantori di famiglie Levitiche, i quali abitavano nelle camere annesse al tempio, affinchè potessero di continuo e dì, e notte applicarsi al loro ministero.

34I capi dei Leviti, principi nelle loro famiglie stavano in Gerusalemme.

35Ma abitava in Gabaon, Jehiel fondatore di Gabaon, la di cui moglie si chiamò Maacha:

36Abdon suo figliuolo primogenito, e Sur, e Cis, e Baal, e Ner, e Nadab,

37E parimente Gedor, e Ahio, e Zacharia, e Macelloth.

38E Macelloth generò Samaan. Questi abitarono in Gerusalemme co' loro fratelli dirimpetto agli altri loro fratelli.

39Ner poi generò Cis: e Cis generò Saul: e Saul generò Gionatha, e Melchisua, e Abinadab, ed Esbaal.

40Meribbaal fu figliuolo di Gionatha, e Meribbaal generò Micha.

41Figliuoli di Micha: Phiton, e Melech, e Tharaa, e Ahaz.

42E Ahaz generò Jara, e Jara generò Alamath, e Azmoth, e Zamri; e Zamri generò Mosa;

43Mosa generò Banaa, il di cui figliuolo Raphaia generò Elasa, da cui nacque Asel.

44Or Asel ebbe sei figliuoli, i nomi de' quali furono: Ezricam, Bocru, Ismael, Saria, Obdia. Hanan: questi sono i figliuoli di Asel.

2Qui autem habitaverunt primi in possessionibus et in urbibus suis: Israël, et sacerdotes, et Levitæ, et Nathinæi.

3Commorati sunt in Jerusalem de filiis Juda, et de filiis Benjamin, de filiis quoque Ephraim, et Manasse.

8et Jobania filius Jeroham, et Ela filius Ozi, filii Mochori, et Mosollam filius Saphatiæ, filii Rahuel, filii Jebaniæ,

9et fratres eorum per familias suas, nongenti quinquaginta sex. Omnes hi principes cognationum per domos patrum suorum.

10De sacerdotibus autem: Jedaia, Jojarib, et Jachin:

11Azarias quoque filius Helciæ, filii Mosollam, filii Sadoc, filii Maraioth, filii Achitob, pontifex domus Dei.

12Porro Adaias filius Jeroham, filii Phassur, filii Melchiæ, et Maasai filius Adiel filii Jezra, filii Mosollam, filii Mosollamith, filii Emmer.

13Fratres quoque eorum principes per familias suas, mille septingenti sexaginta, fortissimi robore ad faciendum opus ministerii in domo Dei.

14De Levitis autem: Semeia filius Hassub filii Ezricam, filii Hasebia de filiis Merari.

15Bacbacar quoque carpentarius, et Galal, et Mathania filius Micha, filii Zechri, filii Asaph:

16et Obdia filius Semeiæ, filii Galal, filii Idithun: et Barachia filius Asa, filii Elcana, qui habitavit in atriis Netophati.

17Janitores autem: Sellum, et Accub, et Telmon, et Ahimam: et frater eorum Sellum princeps,

18usque ad illud tempus, in porta regis ad orientem, observabant per vices suas de filiis Levi.

19Sellum vero filius Core filii Abiasaph, filii Core, cum fratribus suis, et domo patris sui, hi sunt Coritæ super opera ministerii, custodes vestibulorum tabernaculi: et familiæ eorum per vices castrorum Domini custodientes introitum.

20Phinees autem filius Eleazari erat dux eorum coram Domino.

21Porro Zacharias filius Mosollamia, janitor portæ tabernaculi testimonii.

22Omnes hi electi in ostiarios per portas, ducenti duodecim: et descripti in villis propriis, quos constituerunt David, et Samuel videns, in fide sua,

23tam ipsos quam filios eorum, in ostiis domus Domini et in tabernaculo vicibus suis.

24Per quatuor ventos erant ostiarii: id est, ad orientem, et ad occidentem, et ad aquilonem, et ad austrum.

25Fratres autem eorum in viculis morabantur, et veniebant in sabbatis suis de tempore usque ad tempus.

26His quatuor Levitis creditus erat omnis numerus janitorum, et erant super exedras et thesauros domus Domini.

27Per gyrum quoque templi Domini morabantur in custodiis suis: ut cum tempus fuisset, ipsi mane aperirent fores.

28De horum genere erant et super vasa ministerii: ad numerum enim et inferebantur vasa, et efferebantur.

29De ipsis et qui credita habebant utensilia sanctuarii, præerant similæ, et vino, et oleo, et thuri, et aromatibus.

30Filii autem sacerdotum unguenta ex aromatibus conficiebant.

31Et Mathathias Levites primogenitus Sellum Coritæ, præfectus erat eorum quæ in sartagine frigebantur.

32Porro de filiis Caath fratribus eorum, super panes erant propositionis, ut semper novos per singula sabbata præpararent.

33Hi sunt principes cantorum per familias Levitarum, qui in exedris morabantur, ut die ac nocte jugiter suo ministerio deservirent.

34Capita Levitarum, per familias suas principes, manserunt in Jerusalem.

35In Gabaon autem commorati sunt pater Gabaon Jehiel, et nomen uxoris ejus Maacha.

36Filius primogenitus ejus Abdon, et Sur, et Cis, et Baal, et Ner, et Nadab,

37Gedor quoque, et Ahio, et Zacharias, et Macelloth.

38Porro Macelloth genuit Samaan: isti habitaverunt e regione fratrum suorum in Jerusalem cum fratribus suis.

39Ner autem genuit Cis, et Cis genuit Saul, et Saul genuit Jonathan, et Melchisua, et Abinadab, et Esbaal.

40Filius autem Jonathan, Meribbaal: et Meribbaal genuit Micha.

41Porro filii Micha, Phithon, et Melech, et Tharaa, et Ahaz.

42Ahaz autem genuit Jara, et Jara genuit Alamath, et Azmoth, et Zamri. Zamri autem genuit Mosa.

43Mosa vero genuit Banaa, cujus filius Raphaia, genuit Elasa, de quo ortus est Asel.

44Porro Asel sex filios habuit, his nominibus: Ezricam, Bocru, Ismahel, Saria, Obdia, Hanan: hi sunt filii Asel.

1And all Israel was numbered: and the sum of them was written in the book of the kings of Israel, and Juda: and they were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.

2Now the first that dwelt in their possessions, and in their cities, were the Israelites, and the priests, and the Levites, and the Nathineans.

3And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Juda, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and of Manasses.

4Othei the son of Ammiud, the son of Amri, the son of Omrai, the son of Bonni, of the sons of Phares the son of Juda.

5And of Siloni: Asaia the firstborn, and his sons.

6And of the sons of Zara: Jehuel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.

7And of the sons of Benjamin: Sale the son of Mosollam, the son of Oduia, the son of Asana:

8And Jobania the son of Jeroham: and Ela the son of Ozi, the son of Mochori: and Mosallam the son of Saphatias, the son of Rahuel, the son of Jebania:

9And their brethren by their families, nine hundred and fifty-six. All these were heads of their families, by the houses of their fathers.

10And of the priests: Jedaia, Joiarib, and Jachin:

11And Azarias the son of Helcias, the son of Mosollam, the son of Sadoc, the son of Maraioth, the son of Achitob, high priest of the house of God.

12And Adaias the son of Jeroham, the son of Phassur, the son of Melchias, and Maasai the son of Adiel, the son of Jezra, the son of Mosollam, the son of Mosollamith, the son of Emmer.

13And their brethren heads in their families a thousand seven hundred and threescore, very strong and able men for the work of the ministry in the house of God.

14And of the Levites: Semeia the son of Hassub the son of Ezricam, the son of Hasebia of the sons of Merari.

15And Bacbacar the carpenter, and Galal, and Mathania the son of Micha, the son of Zechri the son of Asaph:

16And Obdia the son of Semeia, the son of Galal, the son of Idithum: and Barachia the son of Asa, the son of Elcana, who dwelt in the suburbs of Netophati.

17And the porters were Sellum, and Accub, and Telmon, and Ahiman: and their brother Sellum was the prince,

18Until that time, in the king’s gate eastward, the sons of Levi waited by their turns.

19But Sellum the son of Core, the son of Abiasaph, the son of Core, with his brethren and his father’s house, the Corites were over the works of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their families in turns were keepers of the entrance of the camp of the Lord.

20And Phinees the son of Eleazar, was their prince before the Lord,

21And Zacharias the son of Mosollamia, was porter of the gate of the tabernacle of the testimony:

22All these that were chosen to be porters at the gates, were two hundred and twelve: and they mere registered in their proper towns: whom David and Samuel the seer appointed in their trust.

23As well them as their sons, to keep the gates of the house of the Lord, and the tabernacle by their turns.

24In four quarters were the porters: that is to say, toward the east, and west, and north, and south.

25And their brethren dwelt in villages, and came upon their sabbath days from time to time.

26To these four Levites were committed the whole number of the porters, and they were over the chambers, and treasures, of the house of the Lord.

27And they abode in their watches round about the temple of the Lord: that when it was time, they might open the gates in the morning.

28And some of their stock had the charge of the vessels for the ministry: for the vessels were both brought in and carried out by number.

29Some of them also had the instruments of the sanctuary committed unto them, and the charge of the fine flour, and wine, and oil, and frankincense, and spices.

30And the sons of the priests made the ointments of the spices.

31And Mathathias a Levite, the firstborn of Sellum the Corite, was overseer of such things as were fried in the fryingpan.

32And some of the sons of Caath their brethren, were over the leaves of proposition, to prepare always new for every sabbath.

33These are the chief of the singing men of the families of the Levites, who dwelt in the chambers, by the temple, that they might serve continually day and night in their ministry.

34The heads of the Levites, princes in their families, abode in Jerusalem.

35And in Gabaon dwelt Jehiel the father of Gabaon, and the name of hill wife was Maacha:

36His firstborn son Abdon, and Sur, and Cis, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,

37Gedor also, and Ahio, and Zacharias, and Macelloth.

38And Macelloth beget Samaan: these dwelt over against their brethren in Jerusalem, with their brethren.

39Now Ner beget Cia: and Cis begot Saul: and Saul beget Jonathan and Melchisua, and Abinadab, and Esbaal.

40And the son of Jonathan, was Meribbaal: and Meribbaal beget Micha.

41And the sons of Micha, were Phithon, and Melech, and Tharaa, and Ahaz.

42And Ahaz beget Jara, and Jara beget Alamath, and Azmoth, and Zamri. And Zamri beget Mesa.

43And Mesa beget Banaa: whose son Raphaia beget Elasa: of whom was born Asel.

44And heel had six sons whose names are, Ezricam, Bochru, Ismahel, Saria, Obdia, Hanan: these are the sons of Asel.
