Salmos 118

1Aleluia. Dai graças ao Senhor, porque é bom, porque a sua misericórdia é eterna.

2Diga a casa de Israel: "A sua misericórdia é eterna."

3Diga a casa de Aarão: "A sua misericórdia é eterna."

4Digam os que temem o Senhor: "A sua misericórdia é eterna."

5No meio da tribulação invoquei o Senhor, o Senhor ouviu-me e livrou-me (do perigo).

6O Senhor está comigo: não temo; que pode fazer-me o homem?

7O Senhor, o meu auxílio, está comigo, e confundidos verei os meus inimigos.

8É melhor buscar refúgio no Senhor, que esperar no homem.

9É melhor buscar refúgio no Senhor, que confiar nos príncipes.

10Todas as gentes me cercaram, mas eu esmaguei-as em nome do Senhor.

11Cercaram-me por todos os lados, mas eu esmaguei-as em nome do Senhor.

12Cercaram-me como abelhas; abrasaram-me como o fogo abrasa os espinheiros, mas eu esmaguei-as em nome do Senhor.

13Fui empurrado violentamente, para cair, mas o Senhor susteve-me.

14O Senhor é a minha força, a minha fortaleza; tornou-se o meu salvador.

15Grito de júbilo e de salvação, (ouve-se) nas tendas dos justos: A dextra do Senhor actuou com firmeza,

16a dextra do Senhor levantou-me, a dextra do Senhor actuou com firmeza.

17Não morrerei, mas viverei, e narrarei as obras do Senhor.

18Castigou-me, castigou-me o Senhor, mas não me entregou à morte.

19Abri-me (ó sacerdotes) as portas (do templo) da justiça; depois de entrar por elas, darei graças ao Senhor.

20Esta é a porta do Senhor, os justos entrarão por ela.

21Dar-te-ei graças (Senhor), porque me ouviste e te tornaste o meu salvador.

22A pedra que os edificadores rejeitaram, esta foi posta por pedra angular.

23Foi o Senhor que fez isto, e é uma coisa admirável aos nossos olhos.

24Este é o dia que fez o Senhor; regozijemo-nos e alegremo-nos nele.

25Ó Senhor, salva; ó Senhor, dá prosperidade!

26Bendito o que vem em nome do Senhor; nós vos bendizemos da casa do Senhor.

27O Senhor é Deus, e faz brilhar sobre nós a sua luz. Ordenai o cortejo com frondosos ramos, até aos ângulos do altar.

28Tu és o meu Deus, e eu te dou graças; ó meu Deus, eu te exalto com louvores.

29Dai graças ao Senhor, porque é bom, porque a sua misericórdia é eterna.

5De tribulatione invocavi Dominum, et exaudivit me in latitudine Dominus.

6Dominus mihi adjutor; non timebo quid faciat mihi homo.

7Dominus mihi adjutor, et ego despiciam inimicos meos.

8Bonum est confidere in Domino, quam confidere in homine.

9Bonum est sperare in Domino, quam sperare in principibus.

10Omnes gentes circuierunt me, et in nomine Domini, quia ultus sum in eos.

11Circumdantes circumdederunt me, et in nomine Domini, quia ultus sum in eos.

12Circumdederunt me sicut apes, et exarserunt sicut ignis in spinis: et in nomine Domini, quia ultus sum in eos.

13Impulsus eversus sum, ut caderem, et Dominus suscepit me.

14Fortitudo mea et laus mea Dominus, et factus est mihi in salutem.

15Vox exsultationis et salutis in tabernaculis justorum.

16Dextera Domini fecit virtutem; dextera Domini exaltavit me: dextera Domini fecit virtutem.

17Non moriar, sed vivam, et narrabo opera Domini.

18Castigans castigavit me Dominus, et morti non tradidit me.

19Aperite mihi portas justitiæ: ingressus in eas confitebor Domino.

20Hæc porta Domini: justi intrabunt in eam.

21Confitebor tibi quoniam exaudisti me, et factus es mihi in salutem.

22Lapidem quem reprobaverunt ædificantes, hic factus est in caput anguli.

23A Domino factum est istud, et est mirabile in oculis nostris.

24Hæc est dies quam fecit Dominus; exsultemus, et lætemur in ea.

25O Domine, salvum me fac; o Domine, bene prosperare.

26Benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini: benediximus vobis de domo Domini.

27Deus Dominus, et illuxit nobis. Constituite diem solemnem in condensis, usque ad cornu altaris.

28Deus meus es tu, et confitebor tibi; Deus meus es tu, et exaltabo te. Confitebor tibi quoniam exaudisti me, et factus es mihi in salutem.

29Confitemini Domino, quoniam bonus, quoniam in sæculum misericordia ejus.]

1Give praise to Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

2Let Israel now say that he is good: that his mercy endureth for ever.

3Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

4Let them that fear the Lord now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

5In my trouble I called upon the Lord: and the Lord heard me, and enlarged me.

6The Lord is my helper, I will not fear what man can do unto me.

7The Lord is my helper: and I will look over my enemies.

8It is good to confide in the Lord, rather than to have confidence in man.

9It is good to trust in the Lord, rather than to trust in princes.

10All nations compassed me about; and in the name of the Lord I have been revenged on them.

11Surrounding me they compassed me about: and in the name of the Lord I have been revenged on them.

12They surrounded me like bees, and they burned like fire among thorns: and in the name of the Lord I was revenged on them.

13Being pushed I was overturned that I might fall: but the Lord supported me.

14The Lord is my strength and my praise: and he is become my salvation.

15The voice of rejoicing and of salvation is in the tabernacles of the just.

16The right hand of the Lord hath wrought strength: the right hand of the Lord hath exulted me: the right hand of the Lord hath wrought strength.

17I shall not die, but live: and shall declare the works of the Lord.

18The Lord chastising hath chastised me: but he hath not delivered me over to death.

19Open ye to me the gates of justice: I will go into them, and give praise to the Lord.

20This is the gate of the Lord, the just shall enter into it.

21I will give glory to thee because thou hast heard me: and art become my salvation.

22The stone which the builders rejected; the same is become the head of the corner.

23This is the Lord’s doing: and it is wonderful in our eyes.

24This is the day which the Lord hath made: let us be glad and rejoice therein.

25O Lord, save me: O Lord, give good success.

26Blessed be he that cometh in the name Lord. We have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.

27The Lord is God, and he hath shone upon us. Appoint a solemn day, with shady boughs, even to the horn of the alter.

28Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, and I will exalt thee. I will praise thee, because thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

29O praise ye the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
