Sobre esta ediçãoSl 137 nesta versão
1De Davide.
3Quando te invoquei, ouviste-me, multiplicaste a fortaleza na minha alma.
4Celebrar-te-ão, Senhor, todos os reis da terra, quando ouvirem as palavras da tua boca;
5e cantarão os caminhos (o proceder) do Senhor: "verdadeiramente é grande a glória do Senhor."
6Na verdade, o Senhor é excelso, mas olha para o humilde; ao soberbo, porém, lança o seu olhar de longe.
7Se eu ando no meio da tribulação (ó Senhor), tu me conservas a vida, estendes a tua mão contra a ira dos meus inimigos, a tua direita me salva.
8As obras começadas, o Senhor as acabará por mim. Senhor, a tua bondade é eterna, não abandones a obra das tuas mãos.
Vulgata Clementina 1598

1Ipsi David. [Confitebor tibi, Domine, in toto corde meo, quoniam audisti verba oris mei. In conspectu angelorum psallam tibi;
2adorabo ad templum sanctum tuum, et confitebor nomini tuo: super misericordia tua et veritate tua; quoniam magnificasti super omne, nomen sanctum tuum.
3In quacumque die invocavero te, exaudi me; multiplicabis in anima mea virtutem.
4Confiteantur tibi, Domine, omnes reges terræ, quia audierunt omnia verba oris tui.
5Et cantent in viis Domini, quoniam magna est gloria Domini;
6quoniam excelsus Dominus, et humilia respicit, et alta a longe cognoscit.
7Si ambulavero in medio tribulationis, vivificabis me; et super iram inimicorum meorum extendisti manum tuam, et salvum me fecit dextera tua.
8Dominus retribuet pro me. Domine, misericordia tua in sæculum; opera manuum tuarum ne despicias.]

1I will praise thee, O lord, with my whole heart: for thou hast heard the words of my mouth. I will sing praise to thee in the sight of his angels:
2I will worship towards thy holy temple, and I will give glory to thy name. For thy mercy, and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy holy name above all.
3In what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me: thou shall multiply strength in my soul.
4May all the kings of the earth give glory to thee: for they have heard all the words of thy mouth.
5And let them sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.
6For the Lord is high, and looketh on the low: and the high he knoweth afar off.
7If I shall walk in the midst of tribulation, thou wilt quicken me: and thou hast stretched forth thy hand against the wrath of my enemies: and thy right hand hath saved me.
8The Lord will repay for me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: O despise not the work of thy hands.
