Salmos 122

1Cántico gradual. De David. Me llené de gozo cuando me dijeron: “Iremos a la Casa de Yahvé.”

2Ya se posan nuestros pies ante tus puertas, ¡oh Jerusalén!

3Jerusalén, que estás edificada, como la ciudad cuya comunidad le está bien unida.

4Allá suben las tribus, las tribus de Yah; es ley para Israel celebrar allí el Nombre de Yahvé.

5Allí se han establecido los tronos para el juicio, los tronos de la casa de David.

6Saludad a Jerusalén: “Gocen de seguridad los que te aman;

7reine la paz dentro de tus muros, la felicidad en tus palacios.”

8Por amor a mis hermanos y amigos exclamo: Paz sobre ti.

9A causa del Templo de Yahvé nuestro Dios te auguro todo bien.

1Canticum graduum. [Lætatus sum in his quæ dicta sunt mihi: In domum Domini ibimus.

2Stantes erant pedes nostri in atriis tuis, Jerusalem.

3Jerusalem, quæ ædificatur ut civitas, cujus participatio ejus in idipsum.

4Illuc enim ascenderunt tribus, tribus Domini: testimonium Israël, ad confitendum nomini Domini.

5Quia illic sederunt sedes in judicio, sedes super domum David.

6Rogate quæ ad pacem sunt Jerusalem, et abundantia diligentibus te.

7Fiat pax in virtute tua, et abundantia in turribus tuis.

8Propter fratres meos et proximos meos, loquebar pacem de te.

9Propter domum Domini Dei nostri, quæsivi bona tibi.]

1I rejoiced at the things that were said to me: We shall go into the house of the Lord.

2Our feet were standing in thy courts, O Jerusalem.

3Jerusalem, which is built as a city, which is compact together.

4For thither did the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord: the testimony of Israel, to praise the name of the Lord.

5Because their seats have sat in judgment, seats upon the house of David.

6Pray ye for the things that are for the peace of Jerusalem: and abundance for them that love thee.

7Let peace be in thy strength: and abundance in thy towers.

8For the sake of my brethren, and of my neighbours, I spoke peace of thee.

9Because of the house of the Lord our God, I have sought good things for thee.
