Salmos 146

1¡HalIelú Yah! Alaba a Yahvé, alma mía.

2Toda mi vida alabaré a Yahvé; cantaré salmos a mi Dios mientras yo viva.

3No pongáis vuestra confianza en los príncipes, en un hijo de hombre, que no puede salvar.

4Apenas el soplo le abandona, él vuelve a su polvo, y entonces se acaban todos sus designios.

5Dichoso en cambio quien tiene en su ayuda al Dios de Jacob, y pone su esperanza en Yahvé, su Dios,

6Creador del cielo y de la tierra, del mar y de cuanto contienen. Él conserva siempre su fidelidad;

7hace justicia a los oprimidos, y da pan a los hambrientos. Es Yahvé quien desata a los cautivos;

8es Yahvé quien abre los ojos de los ciegos; Yahvé levanta a los agobiados; Yahvé ama a los justos;

9Yahvé cuida de los peregrinos; sustenta al huérfano y a la viuda, y trastorna los caminos de los malvados.

10Reinará Yahvé para siempre, el Dios tuyo, oh Sión, de edad en edad. ¡HalIelú Yah!

2[Lauda, anima mea, Dominum. Laudabo Dominum in vita mea; psallam Deo meo quamdiu fuero. Nolite confidere in principibus,

3in filiis hominum, in quibus non est salus.

4Exibit spiritus ejus, et revertetur in terram suam; in illa die peribunt omnes cogitationes eorum.

5Beatus cujus Deus Jacob adjutor ejus, spes ejus in Domino Deo ipsius:

6qui fecit cælum et terram, mare, et omnia quæ in eis sunt.

7Qui custodit veritatem in sæculum; facit judicium injuriam patientibus; dat escam esurientibus. Dominus solvit compeditos;

8Dominus illuminat cæcos. Dominus erigit elisos; Dominus diligit justos.

9Dominus custodit advenas, pupillum et viduam suscipiet, et vias peccatorum disperdet.

10Regnabit Dominus in sæcula; Deus tuus, Sion, in generationem et generationem.]

2Praise the Lord, O my soul, in my life I will praise the Lord: I will sing to my God as long as I shall be. Put not your trust in princes:

3In the children of men, in whom there is no salvation.

4His spirit shall go forth, and he shall return into his earth: in that day all their thoughts shall perish.

5Blessed is he who hath the God of Jacob for his helper, whose hope is in the Lord his God:

6Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all things that are in them.

7Who keepeth truth for ever: who executeth judgment for them that suffer wrong: who giveth food to the hungry. The Lord looseth them that are fettered:

8The Lord enlighteneth the blind. The Lord lifteth up them that are cast down: the Lord loveth the just.

9The Lord keepeth the strangers, he will support the fatherless and the widow: and the ways of sinners he will destroy.

10The Lord shall reign for ever: thy God, O Sion, unto generation and generation.
