Salmi 13

1Salmo di David. Fino a quando, o Signore? ti scorderai forse di me per sempre? fino a quando volgi da me la tua faccia?

2Fino a quando accumulerò perplessità nell'anima mia, e nel cuor mio dolori ogni giorno?

3Fino a quando avrà possanza sopra di me il mio nemico?

4Volgiti a me, ed esaudiscimi, Signore, Dio mio. Illumina gli occhi miei, affinchè io non dorma giammai sonno di morte;

5Affinchè non dica una volta il mio nemico: Io lo ho vinto. Color che mi affliggono, trionferanno se io sarò smosso:

6Io però mia speranza ho posta nella tua misericordia. Il mio cuore esulterà nella salute, che vien da te: canterò il Signore mio benefattore: e al nome del Signore altissimo farò risonare inni di laude.

1In finem. Psalmus David. [Usquequo, Domine, oblivisceris me in finem? usquequo avertis faciem tuam a me?

2quamdiu ponam consilia in anima mea; dolorem in corde meo per diem?

3usquequo exaltabitur inimicus meus super me?

4Respice, et exaudi me, Domine Deus meus. Illumina oculos meos, ne umquam obdormiam in morte;

5nequando dicat inimicus meus: Prævalui adversus eum. Qui tribulant me exsultabunt si motus fuero;

6ego autem in misericordia tua speravi. Exsultabit cor meum in salutari tuo. Cantabo Domino qui bona tribuit mihi; et psallam nomini Domini altissimi.]

1Unto the end, a psalm for David. How long, O Lord, wilt thou forget me unto the end? how long dost thou turn away thy face from me?

2How long shall I take counsels in my soul, sorrow in my heart all the day?

3How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

4Consider, and hear me, O Lord my God. Enlighten my eyes that I never sleep in death:

5Lest at any time my enemy say: I have prevailed against him. They that trouble me will rejoice when I am moved:

6But I have trusted in thy mercy. My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation: I will sing to the Lord, who giveth me good things: yea I will sing to the name of the Lord the most high.
